So i'd heard form a close friend that a Chanupa or Pipe Holder was beginning to hold ceremony in Sussex, this resonated with me deeply & I was instantly driven to get in contact with this guy & go to his ceremonies, which is very unusual for me keeping away form group gatherings. I'd been trying to get in touch with him since last October. So the day before we left Brighton Matt sends me a link ANSUschoolofsound.com & here he is !
Anthur, "As a Sundancer and Chanupa (Sacred Pipe) Carrier, (traditions of the North of the Americas) Anthar is one of the Sons of the alliance of the Eagle and Condor Nation, a New Nation united by the agreement of the Elders of the North and South America to become One."
Anthur is the the physical representation of all I believe & am guided towards. Anyway I call, I text, I Skype, I connect on Facebook & I email. Still no connection. It strikes me there is another beautiful being in this picture & that is Anthur's female counter part Suzy. I call her number on the website & she answers almost immediately. After my initial shock & not even knowing what it is I'd like to communicate we talk for about an hour & I end up asking her permission to work in her territory, her land. It felt as though I could do nothing before connecting with these guys, acknowledging their amazing work in the land & seek permission to carry my sacred intoning of the Devine Feminine forwards through Scotland & up into the Outer Hebrides. Again & again I am reminded of my work as the Feminine & any masculine connection I attempt to pursue never seems to quite work out.
So I've called someone I've never met before & not only have I asked to that work in their territory I've also asked them if they can host me, Matt & our new puppy that has unpredictable toilet habits for the night. None of these things make me feel comfortable at all. Breath.......... Sigh..............Ahhhhhh. OK feeling brave now.
One thing that is clear on my route that we HAVE to make it to Peebles to meet with Suzy.
We arrive in Peebles after a long drive through the black hills in sleet, high winds with sheep dotted in the forbidding landscape & on the roads. I have a strong sense of I don't know where we are are going, Matt is unhappy to leave his route but I have found us a place to stay & I'm absolutely certain answers will be found with Suzie & guidance will be heard.
We are greeted by what is turning out to be a typically Scottish front door situation, which I love. The existing wooden front doors are usually double & open revealing the whole hallway lit up by the inner door being glass. You feel very welcomed by this, seemingly openness.
Suzy is absolutely gorgeous & I feel I've known her my whole life. We talk until late after eating a hearty soup meal. She passes much wisdom on to us namely Marianne Lions book "Sacred Scotland". Talks of Peebles being on the Spine of Albion, an energy line running the length of the United Kingdom. One thought that has stuck with me is that, "when you play a singing bowl anticlockwise you gather the energy into it. When you play clockwise you release the energy from it". This idea sticks. This is why I have my Singing bowl with me, that I've barely used for years by the way. Its form Bhutan & it felt very important to bring with me as my instrument. I recount often the fact that every beat to shape it is a prayre of compassion & is the only possession of the monk when he is travelling. It was important to bring this Bhutan energy with me. It will serve great purpose on the trip.
We won't get time to walk her & Anthur's Labyrinth this time, but we'll be back.
I share my Sacred waters Rose tincture, its noted for healing the heart. We leave with a sending off prayer & a dose of the tincture.
All is beautiful, the way is revealing itself.
